Its really important you have a level area first and clear of debris. The greenhouses can go directly onto the ground.

We have tested the greenhouses at 180kmph not fixed to the ground with great results! However, we would recommend fixing it to the ground using a small 400mm waratah for peace of mind (not included). These can be hidden on the inside of the greenhouse in the corner of each planter out of sight. Our greenhouses are heavy and solid.
The framing has a lifespan of 50 years and the cladding 15-20 years if it maintained. The polycarbonate varies depending on location and light intensity.
Having some walls cladded in timber provides superior strength and makes the whole greenhouse more robust. Walls cladded in timber make the greenhouse heavier than anything on the residential market. Timber cladded walls allow you to have some shaded areas in the greenhouse which gives you options for plants that require partial light.
Rather than getting too hot like other materials (where you have to add a shade cover), or not being able to hold heat in cooler weather, timber cladded walls regulate temperature better. Timber is a great insulator also. Timber greenhouses look aesthetically pleasing and provide a more natural element to your garden.
Not much! Keep the polycarbonate clean, and timber cladding free of and debris. The colour of the Oregon will silver out over time, you can use a clear oil on the Oregon cladding to maintain the colour of the timber if you wish.

The use of timber provides many benefits in your greenhouse.
Some benefits include:
Our timber greenhouse framing is strong – it can handle higher winds and is more structurally sound than aluminium greenhouses. The timber front and rear walls add a bracing element which provides strength to the structure. Our greenhouses are the heaviest timber-framed greenhouses you can buy, ensuring durability and stability. We use quality fixtures and fittings including Colorsteel screws and flashings and large galvanised screws.
We provide a complete kit set unit. There are no hidden costs to the basic set up. You get the greenhouse, the planters, the louvre and the watering kit. Freight to Mainfreight depots is free!
